The HIKING Cruise from Bouziès is a one-way trip lasting 1 hour, offering the option of walking back independently along the Bouziès towpath (allow 1 to 1½ hours; the path is flat, signposted and shaded), providing an opportunity to experience this route from two complementary perspectives. The boat trip will take you on a journey back in time aboard a traditional gabare, whilst the walking section will allow you to immerse yourself in the flora and fauna of the River Lot and observe the workings of the manual locks at close quarters. This unique encounter with nature is particularly popular with families and, of course, with walkers keen to explore this variant of the Way of St James.
The HIKING Cruise is also available from Saint-Cirq-Lapopie; it’s the same half-boat, half-walk concept – it’s up to you to choose the option that suits you best.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before departure. For parking, Bouziès has a municipal car park (€3.50 per day).
